Athlete Consultation
You don’t have to be injured to train at Universal Sports Performance.  In fact, this is the best time to come and see us.  All of the expertise used to care for our injured patients is even better utilized before an injury occurs.  Injury prevention and sports performance training, as well as personal health and fitness training, are a huge part of what we do here. “Give me an injured athlete and I can progress him/her back to an even higher level of performance than pre-injury. Give me a non-injured athlete and the sky is the limit.” The initial athlete consultation is designed to fully evaluate the neuro-musculoskeletal system and then design a sports performance-training program to allow the athlete to excel to the best of his/her abilities.

Full Sports Performance Training Program
This program is similar to the full rehabilitation and physiotherapy program, except without the injury.  After the initial athlete consultation, a full sports performance-training program will be put in to effect to improve all aspects of the athlete’s skill set.  This includes biomechanical training for injury prevention and safety in training, basic strength and conditioning to provide a solid foundation of fitness, and progression to higher levels sports specific training, including strength, speed, agility, explosive power, and sports skills training.  Everything you as an athlete needs!

​Young Athlete Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement Program
A perfect program for younger athletes that focuses on the mechanics of sport, and how to grow, develop, and train the correct way for years to come.  While any athlete, whether competitive or recreational, can benefit from learning proper training and fitness technique, it is especially important to teach our younger athletes to stay safe as they grow and develop. “I wish someone could have taught me how to train properly when I was a young athlete!”  Once the proper mechanics of exercise technique are mastered, the program seamlessly advances into a sports specific training program to enhance athletic performance.  Your young athlete will learn what he or she needs to know and then put it to use.

Injury Evaluation and Diagnosis
Whether you are an elite level athlete unable to perform at your best due to an injury, or the average person suffering from pain, Universal Sports Performance will fully evaluate, diagnose, and explain your condition to you.  The first step in fixing a problem is to fully understand what that problem is. We will formulate a plan of care to allow you to best achieve your goals.

Full Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Program
Universal Sports Performance offers a full rehabilitation and physiotherapy program designed to progress you from the very beginning of injury care and basic rehab, all the way to a high level of function.  Depending on your specific goals, we will tailor your program to progress you to various end stages, ranging from a basic level of health and fitness so you can live a happy, healthy, pain-free life, all the way to an elite level of sports performance.  With this full rehabilitation and physiotherapy program you will receive all of the biomechanical, movement education, strength/conditioning training, and performance training you need.  You will also receive any and all passive care treatment necessary to help achieve your goals, including joint mobilization, soft tissue care, modality care, functional taping, nutrition, and more. In addition to all of this you will also gain invaluable knowledge in terms of future injury prevention.  This program truly is the one-stop shop for all of your health and fitness needs and goals. 


Chiropractic Care

This aspect of Universal Sports Performance addresses any and all Chiropractic care components you need to help you heal from injury, reduce pain, and/or maintain a healthy lifestyle.  Services in this program include Chiropractic adjustments, joint mobilization, soft tissue care, and passive modalities, such as electrical stimulation, light therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, and kinesio/athletic taping.

​Soft Tissue Care
This aspect of Universal Sports Performance addresses the soft tissue needs of the recovery process to help you heal, recover, and get back to training faster. Services include, soft tissue care, massage, and passive modalities, such as electrical stimulation, light therapy, and therapeutic ultrasound.

​Sports Physical Exams
Pre-participation sports physical exams (PPE’s) are an important part of any athletic season.  Every athlete, at any level of sport, requires a physical exam before competing in that sport.  These exams serve as a screening process to rule out any risk factors that may cause harm or put the athlete at risk for injury, or in some cases even death. While not all conditions can be diagnosed and/or prevented from occurring, the PPE can help keep our athletes as safe as possible during their sporting efforts.  Universal Sports Performance offers pre-participation sports physicals at our clinic location in Toluca Lake, CA by appointment.  We also offer organized onsite PPE’s for certain sports and athletic organizations at high schools, clubs, or other facilities.  These onsite PPE’s are a fantastic way for teams to have physicals performed on all athletes participating in a particular sport before the season begins, and can be arranged in advance by contacting Universal Sports Performance.

Let’s face it, not all of us want to be elite level athletes.  In fact, most of us just want to live a happy, healthy, and pain-free life.
